Accuracies Better Then Ever?

I have had a resurgence in my love for the home one title. Generally in a 400 point game, it is not that great you normally can't get enough ships to really make it more impactful than just taking accuracy tech because generally, the accuracy is to lock up a brace to have a high impact. However now with the change to evade and the introduction to salvo I think accuracies have become more impactful. Here is the list that first started to turn me on to this idea.

MC80 Command Cruiser (106)

• Admiral Ackbar (38)

• Electronic Countermeasures (7)

• Linked Turbolaser Towers (7)

• Home One (7)

= 165 Points

Providence Carrier (95)

• Caitken and Shollan (6)

• Shriv Suurgav (6)

• Engine Techs (8)

• Auxiliary Shields Team (3)

= 118 Points

CR90 Corvette A (44)

• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)

• Jaina's Light (2)

= 53 Points

GR-75 Medium Transports (18)

• Hondo Ohnaka (2)

• Parts Resupply (3)

= 23 Points

Squadrons:

• Shara Bey (17)

• 3 x Z-95 Headhunter Squadron (21)

= 38 Points

Total Points: 397

The idea was to use Shriv to rip out ether ECM or thermals and use the Prov to Ackbar slash to take a small and put the hurt on a large. It worked pretty well, but I was most surprised by how much it helped out Jaina’s light. Because I knew I had an accuracy it let Jaina's light keep attacking ships with salvo with little concern. It was very nice so that evolved into this idea:

MC80 Command Cruiser (106)

• Admiral Ackbar (38)

• Electronic Countermeasures (7)

• Linked Turbolaser Towers (7)

• Home One (7)

= 165 Points

CR90 Corvette A (44)

• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)

• Jaina's Light (2)

= 53 Points

CR90 Corvette A (44)

• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)

= 51 Points

CR90 Corvette A (44)

• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)

= 51 Points

CR90 Corvette A (44)

• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)

= 51 Points

Squadrons:

• 4 x Z-95 Headhunter Squadron (28)

= 28 Points

Total Points: 399

This lets the CR-90s really consistently bring the paint to large ships with salvo and make damage stick to smalls with evades so then I started thinking a little crazy what if we put accuracy tech on small ships?

Imperial II (120)

• Moff Jerjerrod (23)

• Local Fire Control (4)

• Reserve Hangar Deck (3)

• Electronic Countermeasures (7)

• Linked Turbolaser Towers (7)

• Chimaera (4)

• Intensify Firepower! (6)

= 174 Points

Arquitens Light Cruiser (54)

• H9 Turbolasers (8)

= 62 Points

Arquitens Light Cruiser (54)

• H9 Turbolasers (8)

= 62 Points

Gozanti Cruisers (23)

• Munitions Resupply (3)

• Rapid Launch Bays (6)

= 32 Points

Gozanti Cruisers (23)

• Reserve Hangar Deck (3)

= 26 Points

Squadrons:

• 4 x TIE Interceptor Squadron (44)

= 44 Points

Total Points: 400

This list was bizarre as it went against a lot of my thinking of stressing defense tokens but is really the brace I want to stress so locking up evades redirects and salvo put more pressure on the brace token forcing it to be spent earlier. It was a bit of a weird list, but it seemed to work salvo was a non-issue for the arquitnes.

This led me to a further realization, maybe accuracies are not necessarily used to lock up “high impact” tokes brace/scatter but to put greater pressure on them to be discarded so I don't have to worry about them in the later game.

It is been a bit of an interesting experience, maybe the games I have played with this in mind have been flukes but accuracy tech with small amounts of damage can put pressure on the high-impact tokens and/or keep your smaller ships alive because other ships cant salvo them. I had a pretty good amount of success with this tactic.

What do you think of accuracy tech? Do you think it has a place on small ships? How have you used accuracies to help you in your games? Until next time have a great week!
